Biography

The short bio from the Helmar-R319 card back: After a sore arm limited shortstop Wright to 71 games with Brooklyn in 1933, he is trying a comeback in 1935 with the Chicago Americans. Pittsburgh brought him to the big leagues from K.C. in 1924, and he was so good the Pirates moved Rabbit Maranville to second base. Glenn hit over .300 3 times and led Pitt. to two World Series. He batted .321 in 1930 for the Brooks and smashed 22 home runs, the most by any ss in either league.
