Rosen, Al

Biography

From the "This Great Game" card back: If it weren’t for chronic back problems, Rosen may have become one of the game’s greatest third basemen. In 1953 he came within one hit of winning the triple crown, the same year he was named AL MVP. He won a pair of home run titles before his aching back ended his career at the age of 32, all of his time spent with the Indians.
