Fred McMullen

Biography

The short bio from the Helmar-R319 card back: In August of 1917 McMullin came off the bench to help the White Sox to the pennant with the best third basing in the league for six weeks. Fred then played in all 6 games of the World Series against the Giants. Last year Fred played 65 games and batted .277. In June of ’17 McMullin and Buck Weaver tangled with rowdy Boston gamblers on the field. They were sued for assault but the judge dismissed the charges.
