He hit .285 in the regular campaign, with 99 runs, 20 doubles, and 11 three-sackers. As part of “Murderers Row,” he bats second in the order, in front of “Babe” Ruth and “Lou” Gehrig. Mark hails from San Francisco, where he and fellow Yankee “Tony” Lazzeri played ball together as youngsters. Mark bats right, throws right, is 6’ even, and 180 lbs.
