Willis Hudlin

The short bio from the Helmar-R319 card back: 1933 was a terrible year for this talented right-hander if you just look at his win-loss record of 5-13. His ERA was 3.97, better than the year before when he was 12-8 with a 4.17 ERA. If Cleveland expects him to win more ballgames they’ll have to give him some more support at the plate. He’s a big man at 6 foot and 190 pounds but is more adept at getting batters to ground out or pop up than striking them out.
