A short bio from the Helmar-R319 card back: Catcher Rick and pitcher Wes are together in Boston now and form the best brother battery in history. Older brother Rick came to the Sox from the Browns in 1933, and Boston stole Wes from Cleveland for 2 players plus 25 grand in 1934. Last year workhorse Wes won 25 games and led the AL in starts, complete games, and innings pitched. He also batted .347 and hit 7 HR. Rick handled the pitchers with kid gloves, batted .301, and knocked in four runs to help kid brother win his 25th game.
