Joe Dugan

A short bio from the Helmar-R319 card back: “Jumping Joe” Dugan, infielder for Connie Mack’s A’s, earned his nickname for his tendency to jump the team after a bad performance. His number of errors has decreased, going from 48 in 1918, to 44 in ’19, to 35 in ’20, to 16 last year. Joe bats and throws from the right side. He is 5’11” and 159 pounds. There are rumors that he is headed to the Red Sox.
