Taylor Douthit

Biography

Taylor will be 32 years old during the upcoming 1933 season. It will be his 11th year in the big leagues. This centerfielder is just as fast as when he came up with the Cardinals back in 1923. The flyhawk batted about .300 in his years with St. Looie, but they suddenly traded him to Cinci halfway through the 1931 season. Cincinnati wasn’t the place for Taylor, though, as his average and playing time dropped considerably. Last year, in fact, he batted only .243 for the Reds. The Little Rock, Arkansas native is 5’11” and 175 pounds
