Ken Boyer

Biography

A short bio from the Helmar “This Great Game” card back: You had to grab the food quick at the dinner table in the Boyer household: Ken is one of 14 children, the third oldest son. All seven of the Boyer boys played professional baseball, Ken and younger brother Clete are both third baseman. They became the first brothers to homer in the same World Series in Game Seven in 1964. Ken’s first major league hit was a home run at Wrigley Field against the arch-rival Cubs and he’s been nagging that team ever since.
