Elden Aucker

A short bio from the Helmar-R319 card back: This Kansas native has sure found a home in the Motor City! Elden started his pro career at age 21, splitting the 1931 season between the Moline Plowboys and the Decatur Commodores. His 7-12 record was not very impressive but he improved to 16-10 the next season with the Beaumont Exporters. In fact, Detroit called him up for the remainder of the 1932 season to get his feet wet with big league hitters. His 3-3 mark was middling but he blossomed in 1933 to a strong 15-7 mark. He’s followed that up with wonderful records of 18-7, 13-16, and 17-9.
